The Gagliano Family

Passionate, from father to son… and daughters!

In 2008, Alfonso Gagliano acquired a lovely vineyard, located in the bucolic hills of the Dunham Valley, with his wife and son Vince. His desire? Make wines from Quebec, but which would remind him of his native Sicily.

Wine was a passion, long before I had my own vineyard. Alfonso Gagliano began to vinify his first cuvées in the 1970s, with grapes bought at the Jean-Talon market. This passion, he was able to pass on to his three children: Vince, Maria and Imma, who all three work in the vineyard today. They are committed to pursuing the dream of their father, who died in 2020. Vince Gagliano, who always had the same vision as his “dad”, is the project manager in the fields and in the cellar, while his sisters Maria and Imma take care of finance and marketing respectively.

Famille Gagliano

The love of their profession is expressed in particular through their wines, which have won many awards over the years, but also through the efforts they put into producing them. The wines of the Gagliano family, very concerned about the environment, will indeed be certified organic from the 2021 vintage. “Winegrowers are at the forefront of climate change, noted Alfonso Gagliano, when starting the transition. For our family members, some of whom already drive electric cars, there is nothing more natural than going organic. »

Another beautiful legacy that Alfonso Gagliano will have left to his family!
