THE QUEBEC WINE COUNCIL, A HISTORY OF PASSION
The Quebec Wine Council (Conseil des vins du Québec – CVQ) is an association that brings together Quebec winegrowers and players in the Quebec wine industry – all united by a devouring passion for the cultivation of vines and the production of wine.
The association was created in October 1987 thanks to the initiative of winegrowers keen to unify their energies to create the wine industry in Quebec. The CVQ defends numerous files of interest in order to develop this sector of activity – files dealing, among other things, with commercialization, the prosperity of entrepreneurs and the development of science and knowledge.
Our common goal? Help the Quebec wine industry grow and shine, one vintage at a time.
OUR MISSION
Elevating Quebec viticulture to the highest possible summits of quality, refining winemakers’ expertise to help them extract the best from our land, and bottling authentic and innovative wines is the mission that association members carry out with passion and pride. Their small-scale production means Quebec winegrowers bottle every vintage with our own brand of charm and character.
