In 2008, Francis-Hugues Lavoie joined his father as co-owner of DOMAINE DE LAVOIE, located in Rougemont in the Montérégie region. Founded in 1999, the family winery proudly celebrated its 20th vintage in 2019!
« I’m in charge of several different parts of the business, » explains Francis-Hugues.« As head of production for both the vineyard and winery, I oversee each stage of the process, from pruning the vines to bottling the finished product. I also supervise the sales and delivery department. »
Francis-Hugues has ambitious plans for the business’s future. He wants to expand the vineyard from 23 to 50 hectares. He also wants to transition from conventional to organic viticulture. « I am only in my mid-thirties, so I have plenty of time ahead of me,» he says. « My target is to reach these milestones by the time I’m 40.»
