Vignoble Les Côtes du Gavet :

New Guard at Les Côtes du Gavet

There’s a breath of fresh air blowing through the Les Côtes du Gavet vineyard, located on the border of Warwick and Tingwick in the Bois-Francs region. After planting their first vines in 2000 and witnessing them grow alongside Quebecers’ interest in local wine, Carole Laverdière and Roger Dulude have decided to pass the torch.

It’s the Marchand family and part of their clan, originating from the region, who have taken over the four-hectare vineyard, which produces wines from hybrid grape varieties. With Sabrevois, Frontenac Noir, Frontenac Blanc, Crimson Pearl, and Louise-Swenson, the vineyard produces around 10,000 bottles that come in white, rosé, red, sparkling, sparkling natural rosé, and fortified wine varieties.

The new owners have already added 5,000 vines to the 7,000 vines already well-established in the sandy and stony hillsides that make up the vineyard’s terroir and hope to bring a breath of fresh air and properly showcase this local gem.
