Vignoble L’Arpège :
In Harmony with the Terroir
Behind the young L’Arpège vineyard stands Sébastien Jalbert, a former professional musician. Perhaps this explains the name? Indeed, an arpeggio is a succession of notes that form a chord. This time, it is in the fields and in the cellar that the neophyte winemaker seeks the perfect harmony.
The vineyard is located in Dunham, along the wine route. Vinification and aging of the wines take place in a former welding workshop converted into a cellar, done as naturally as possible. Viticulture is carried out according to the principles of organic agriculture.
His first cuvées, offered in 2023, are crafted in his image and attempt to represent what the Quebec terroir has to offer. An unfiltered piquette made from Petite Perle and Vidal grape pomace, a 10% alcohol white made from Vidal, and a round and full-bodied rosé made from Petite Perle and Frontenac Blanc grapes.
