Vignoble Souffle de Vie : The Vineyard of Montreal Island

The story begins in 2011, when Philippe Druelle, a renowned French osteopath, acquired a 27-hectare property in Senneville, on the western tip of Montreal Island. Cultivated organically for several generations, the land where the Souffle de Vie vineyard is planted is teeming with life. Alongside the birds, insects, and various animals that share the vast estate, the Druelle family also raises horses. On about 6 hectares, a dozen grape varieties are grown. Benefiting from a unique microclimate, the winemaker has even experimented with planting Chenin Blanc, Merlot, and Muscat Chardonnay—varieties that rarely reach full maturity in Quebec, but that remind him of his native region.
