From Moldova to Mauricie
Located in Yamachiche, Mauricie, the Vignoble et Domaine Beauchemin was founded in 2010 by Luc Beauchemin. The property spans 5.2 hectares, including 14,000 mature vines of 14 different grape varieties. In December 2022, the vineyard changed hands and became the property of Liudmila Terzi and her partner Richard Brasseur. Both had dreamed of one day having their own vineyard and were captivated by the charm of this land known for producing fresh Nordic climate wines with beautiful minerality. Originally from Moldova and passionate about the wines of her country (she has also founded a private import agency specializing in Moldovan wines and spirits), Liudmila hopes to one day plant popular Moldovan grape varieties such as saperavi or codrinschi. The couple also plans to open the estate to the public starting in the summer of 2023.
