Domaine Oak Hill: living wines from regenerative agriculture
In the Township of Melbourne, in the Slate Country, the vines of Domaine Oak Hill were planted in 2016 in sandy loam soils derived from glacial deposits over schist, in the Appalachian Plateau wine region. The vineyard is certified organic and biodynamic to ensure transparency in both vineyard and cellar practices.
The wines are made exclusively from northern hybrid grapes, carefully vinified using indigenous yeasts in a true “natural wine” approach: with no additives, no oenological manipulation, and no added sulfites.
The winemakers’ intention is to craft wines that bring both pleasure and a sense of well-being, allowing the grape varieties and the northern terroir to express themselves freely.
