The Quebec Appellation Wines Council (CVAQ) oversees the protection, supervision and supervision of the PGI Vin du Québec and PGI Vin de glace du Quebec appellations. In this sense, the organization represents all Quebec winegrowers whose wines respect all stages of production, from harvest to bottle
Role of the CVAQ
The CVAQ ensures that the specifications are maintained and updated. He supervises the recognition and approval procedures for PGI wines. He is responsible for delivering training and managing the approval committee during the organoleptic examination or the approval tasting that will allow the wines to be marketed. It also provides support to winegrowers in their PGI designation procedures.
The CVAQ works with important partners, including the Council of Reserved Appellations and Enhancing Terms (CARTV), ECOCERT CANADA the certification organization and the Conseil des vins du Québec.
The team
The CVAQ is a non-profit association made up of winegrowers who all own at least one wine in the PGI appellation. The organization is managed by its board of directors, made up of the following eight members:

Charles-Henri De Coussergues, vice-president and co-owner of the Orpailleur vineyard
Serge Primi, treasurer and owner of the Côte de Vaudreuil vineyard
Marco Corbin, administrator and owner of the Halte des Pèlerins vineyard
Sébastien Daoust, administrator and owner of Les Bacchantes vineyard
Francis-Hugues Lavoie, administrator and co-owner of the Lavoie vineyard
Yvan Quirion, administrator and co-owner of the Domaine Saint-Jacques vineyard
